Week #1- Sample Lesson Plan Critique
The lesson plan, A Bear of a Poem: Composing and Performing Found Poetry, is a creative way to have students create their own poems using a favorite childhood story. However, a great lesson plan is worthless if students cannot perform the task at hand. In the sample lesson plan there was no differentiation or stated support available. The same task was required of all students no matter the capability. There were no prompts or any technology available to help students along.
I agree. the lesson plan needs to be adapted to the specific needs and levels of the students in your classroom. The provided lesson plan guides teachers in only a basic overview of an ideal lesson.
