Week #1- Understanding ELA Instruction

Based on the presentations of Dr. Shiangkwei Wang it is the teachers responsibility to know the standards and help the students to gain them and offer them support through technology. The standards of reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language are there to guide teachers so that students can get the best education.

Learning outcomes- What was gained from the desired learning goal.

Learning activities- Activities done to deepen understanding of what is being learned.

Instructional grouping- Groups created to advance or encourage instruction.

Instructional procedures- The method used to teach the instruction.

Resources​ (including technology)- From where materials came.

Teaching practices (connected to learning theory)- The foundation of beliefs that an educator has.

Assessment- A test to see what information/ skill was gained by the student.

Accommodations- Ways to help a student who is lacking in any way.
